Southern University Dancing Doll Auditions 2012

The Southern University Dancing Doll Tryouts will take place, Saturday, August 11, 2012, in the Isaac Greggs Band Hall on the Campus of Southern University.
Tryouts will begin at 8:00 A.M. All applications must be mailed in and postmarked no later than Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Please follow all instruction on the application.

The 12th Annual S.U. Band Picnic will be held Sunday July 8, 2012.

As a reminder, you are responsible for your own picnic needs.
Also, there will be a representative from the newly formed “Human Juke Box Alumni Association” on site to inform of the organization function and purpose. Let’s make this years’ picnic the best we’ve had yet, “With a since of purpose”. Often Imitated………

SU Band plans April auditions in New Orleans and Houston

The Southern University Band will hold auditions in New Orleans, LA, and Houston, TX. Auditions in Houston will be on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Westbury High School from 4:00pm -8:00 pm. All interested students in the Houston area are asked to come to Westbury’s Campus on this date.Auditions in New Orleans will be on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at O.Perry Walker High School from 4:00pm -8:00 pm. All interested students in the New Orleans area are asked to come to Walker’s Campus on this date.
SU Symphonic Band to Perform in New Orleans Thursday April 7

The Southern University Symphonic Band, Lawrence Jackson-Conductor and Director of Bands, will be in concert Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 7pm. The concert will be at L.B. Landry High School Auditorium in New Orleans, LA. This is the first concert as the SU Symphonic Band tours Louisiana and Texas.
