Seeking uniformity? CHS gives out old band outfits
June 20, 2008
Mimicking Michael Jackson’s fashion sense?
Trying to re-enact the “Sgt. Pepper’s” album cover?
Or maybe you’re just pining for the good old days, marching along with the Chaska High School band.
Now’s your chance to get a piece of history – circa 1978. That was when the school district purchased 150 purple band uniforms, all emblazed with “Chaska.”
Most of the uniforms would remain the district’s closet until last year, when a new set of uniforms was purchased to augment a rejuvenated marching band program. Read more

We would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all Jukes who has attended the Annual S.U. Band Picnic in the past. This year we would like to get more of the younger Jukes invovled. We all know that there are alot of legends in their own right, that have attened S.U. or that are in the making at S.U. We the commity of the S.U. What was it that I just had to write down as I listened to the Kojo Nnamdi radio show on WAMU in Washington, D.C.? It was a quote from Darrell Watson, music director of the Ballou Senior High School Band — the “Majestic Marching Knights” — whom Nnamdi was interviewing on a segment about a new documentary film called simply “Ballou.”
