“The Legacy of HBCU Marching Bands” Film set to re-air

In celebration of Black Music Month, the Pepsi National Battle of the Bands (NBOTB) proudly announces the re-airing of “The Legacy of HBCU Marching Bands.” This captivating film, part of an acclaimed series, pays tribute to the rich heritage and ongoing legacy of Historically Black College and University (HBCU) marching bands. It features the exceptional performances of eight premier bands from the 2023 Pepsi National Battle of the Bands.“The Legacy of HBCU Marching Bands,” the fourth installment in the NBOTB series, delves deeply into the vibrant culture of HBCU marching bands. This film highlights their vital role in African American culture for over a century, celebrating the flair, dedication, and enduring traditions that define excellence in entertainment and performance. Viewers are taken on an immersive journey through the history and evolution of HBCU marching bands, showcasing their significant contributions to American culture.
